Trap EL1 accesses to Statistical Profling Extension registers Statistical Profiling Extention (SPE) registers could expose side-channels. Hafnium would also need to implement a proper context switching to handle them. Trap accesses until there is an SPE-capable target on the horizon. Hafnium is a hypervisor, initially supporting aarch64 (64-bit ARMv8 CPUs).
